Footprints Poem
"Walk a little slower daddy," said a child so small.
"I'm following in your footsteps and I don't want to fall.
Sometimes your steps are very fast,
Sometimes they're hard to see;
So walk a little slower, Daddy,
For you are leading me.
Someday when I'm all grown up,
You're what I want to be;
Then I will have a little child
Who'll want to follow me.
And I would want to lead just right,
And know that I was true;
So, walk a little slower, Daddy,
For I must follow you." -Author Unknown
I saw lots of actual footprint pictures with that, but I didn't really want to just do a poem with a footprint on it. Then I remember www.picmonkey.com that I've been using! I LOVE this site. It allows you to do all sorts of editing on your pictures and write on them. And, it's FREE! So, I took one of my favorite pictures of Caden, edited it to be black and white, and typed an excerpt of the poem on top. Here's the original picture and the edited picture.
And then, I decided I wanted Caden to have a little action in the present. So, we got out the fingerpaint and did handprints on the back of a roll of wrapping paper I already had. Here's the wrapped gift!

Sweet, sweet, sweet! We are copying pinterest for a Father's day gift also. Hope I'm organized enough to share it! :)
