Okay, here it is! I know everyone has been looking for these recipes and here they are! I know I found these online, but I can not remember where, I only found my typed up copy for shopping and meal prep. So, if I have posted your recipe, please let me know I will credit you promptly! I never want to steal someone's ideas! Just borrow! :)
Garlic Ranch Chicken

Can't wait to try both of these! I am preparing freezer/crock pot meals to get ready for the back to school craziness. Thanks for your recipes!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much!
ReplyDeleteOn the Garlic Chicken Ranch what type on garlic is it? Powder...salt...cloves...
ReplyDeleteFresh cloves. Always! :)
DeleteThank you!!
DeleteDo you precook meats?
ReplyDeleteOnly ground beef. On the cooking page, you might find Freezer Cooking FAQ helpful! :)
DeleteWhat do you serve with the ranch chicken? I'm always afraid to do new things when I don't know what goes well with it...
ReplyDeleteI normally serve a veggie or a salad and some rice or pasta. That's just for simplicity.
DeleteI made the Garlic Chicken Ranch last night .. used ranch mix instead of bottles of ranch and the kraft olive oil mayo (3/4 cup) and added more garlic (always do this) and it was delicious. We served it over 1/2 cup of brown rice.
ReplyDeleteI'm very excited that I 'prepped' an extra batch in a freezer bag for later!
I think we are supposed to use ranch packets and not dressing. My crockpot is full of nasty oily chicken :(
ReplyDeleteIf you stir it, it should be fine. Anytime you use a product with milk in it, the ingredients may separate in the freezing process. Mine did fine with a little of stirring. The other option is to use the ranch packets and add the milk/mayo on the day of cooking. I added that on the recipe.
DeleteHow many ounces on the bottle of ranch dressing that you use?
ReplyDeleteI was wondering this as well.
DeleteIf we are using bottled, prepared Ranch dressing, are we still supposed to add 2 cups of mayo? Thanks for all the recipes!
ReplyDeleteI was wondering this as well.
DeleteMe also, and...do you actually freeze the extra 2 cups of mayo?
DeleteI made this fresh this morning and added extra garlic....OMG i am amazed how good it was since i was a little skeptical!! Definitely going to make this again. And now being back to work i can do it all in under 5 mins which means more time for my little one :) thanks
ReplyDeleteIn theory these are great recipes and ideas but all of them use so many processed, high fat, high calorie foods....2 bottles of ranch dressing to 8 chicken breasts? That is a quarter bottle of dressing for 1 chicken breast and then add 1/4 cup of mayo to that chicken breast...quite honestly I am mortified that anyone would even consider eating this. I don't want to come off as being completely negative because as I said I think in theory most of your recipes and ideas are great but they rely so heavily on processed canned foods (i.e., many of your recipes feature cream of whatever soups that are loaded with sodium). But you have given me some fantastic ideas to create my own freezer meals for the slow cooker and I thank you for that!
