    1. Only ground beef. On the cooking page, you might find Freezer Cooking FAQ helpful! :)

  4. What do you serve with the ranch chicken? I'm always afraid to do new things when I don't know what goes well with it...

    1. I normally serve a veggie or a salad and some rice or pasta. That's just for simplicity.

  5. I made the Garlic Chicken Ranch last night .. used ranch mix instead of bottles of ranch and the kraft olive oil mayo (3/4 cup) and added more garlic (always do this) and it was delicious. We served it over 1/2 cup of brown rice.

I'm very excited that I 'prepped' an extra batch in a freezer bag for later!

  6. I think we are supposed to use ranch packets and not dressing. My crockpot is full of nasty oily chicken :(

    1. If you stir it, it should be fine. Anytime you use a product with milk in it, the ingredients may separate in the freezing process. Mine did fine with a little of stirring. The other option is to use the ranch packets and add the milk/mayo on the day of cooking. I added that on the recipe.

  7. How many ounces on the bottle of ranch dressing that you use?

  8. If we are using bottled, prepared Ranch dressing, are we still supposed to add 2 cups of mayo? Thanks for all the recipes!

  10. In theory these are great recipes and ideas but all of them use so many processed, high fat, high calorie foods....2 bottles of ranch dressing to 8 chicken breasts? That is a quarter bottle of dressing for 1 chicken breast and then add 1/4 cup of mayo to that chicken breast...quite honestly I am mortified that anyone would even consider eating this. I don't want to come off as being completely negative because as I said I think in theory most of your recipes and ideas are great but they rely so heavily on processed canned foods (i.e., many of your recipes feature cream of whatever soups that are loaded with sodium). But you have given me some fantastic ideas to create my own freezer meals for the slow cooker and I thank you for that!

    1. I feel like this comment was really harsh! I feel very strongly about feeding my family healthy food, but in reality there are days when a really healthy from scratch meal is hot and ready at 6pm and we gather around the table and eat like the cleavers. There are on the other hand days where swim practice interferes with those plans, and a delivery pizza will simply have to do! I would not want some one to tell me that this mortifies them! I would be deeply hurt because that would insinuate I am not doing right by my family all of whom I love dearly. Some days for some families some processed food hits the plate, and if thats not how you do it in your home more power you you, and I am impressed! However I do not feel condemning those who are doing the best they can is necessary.

    2. I agree with Kris. We do the best we can with what we have. I appreciate that Aimee has taken the time to put her recipes out here for the world to see and use. She obviously is a very kind and giving person and doesn't deserve to be critiqued. You must be one amazing person to be able to avoid any processed, high fat, or high calorie foods and then condemn those of us how actually use them.

THANK YOU AIMEE FOR YOUR AMAZING RECIPES THAT YOU HAVE SHARED WITH THOSE OF US WHO APPRECIATE THEM AND USE THEM ALL THE TIME :)
